What Will I Learn?
:

A learner in the Master of Science in Mangement will complete the following outcomes:

  • Possess depth of understanding of key organizational management concepts and theories
  • Possess depth and breadth of key leadership models and applications.
  • Demonstrates an understanding and appreciation of the ethics in various organizational settings.
  • Be recognized by their current employers as excellent employees who contribute to their organizations and are candidates for advancement in their field.
  • Exhibit poise and confidence in verbal and written communication.
  • Demonstrates that they have been and will continue to be a lifelong learner.
Evidence of Student Learning - Internal: How will the program measure what I have learned?:

All learners complete a capstone research project applicable to their major before graduation which is externally evaluated for evidence of competency in meeting the program outcomes.  The evaluator uses rubrics with categories of Distinguished, Proficient, Basic and Below Standard. Scores reflect a compilation of submissions for the academic year 2008/2009.  

                              Of the capstone projects in the Master of Science in Management program evaluated for the academic year of 2008/2009, 100% scored Proficient or Distinguished.
