What Will I Learn?
:

 A learner in the Master of Science in Security Administration will complete the following outcomes:

  • Possess depth of understanding of key security concepts and theories.
  • Be recognized by their current employers as excellent employees who contribute to their organizations and are candidates for advancement
  • Demonstrates an understanding and appreciation of the legal and ethical implications for security professionals.

Evidence of Student Learning - Internal: How will the program measure what I have learned?:

All learners complete a capstone research project applicable to their major before graduation which is externally evaluated for evidence of competency in meeting the program outcomes.  The evaluator uses rubrics with categories of Distinguished, Proficient, Basic and Below Standard. Scores reflect a compilation of submissions for the academic year 2008/2009.

Of the capstone projects in the Master of Science in Security Administration program evaluated for the academic year 2008/2009, 75% scored Proficient or Distinguished.
