| Program mission statement: | The Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a professional degree intended for those who aspire to increasing levels of responsibility in business and industry. An MBA is an investment in the graduate’s future. This degree program is designed to provide each student with a breadth of skills ranging from accounting to project management. The program revolves around managerial skills required in planning, organizing and controlling work in organizations, and focuses on directing, coaching and motivating people for effective performance. In addition, this program is designed to help the student understand various management theories, essential management functions and their interrelationships, and the global evironment of today’s business.

| Evidence of Student Learning - Internal: How will the program measure what I have learned?: | In the Spring of 2010, Colorado Technical University assembled a team of experienced faculty members and program chairs to review randomly selected examples of current MBA student’s work. The team used rubrics to assess several categories of outcomes:
Students were in various stages of completion of their MBA program. The examples of students work were rated in one of the following categories: Accomplished, Proficient, Partially Proficient, or Unacceptable. Students who were partially proficient were considered making progress in their program Those who were Accomplished were exemplary. From three to five skills were assessed in each of the areas listed above and the following list presents the results. Note that N=the average number of student artifacts assessed:
