What Will I Learn?
:

A learner in Business Administration will complete the following outcomes:

  • Possess depth and breadth of key business concepts, theories, and practices in complex competitive organizations.
  • Demonstrate the skills necessary for competency in finance, accounting, and marketing.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of how to effectively lead people and processes in complex business environments.
  • Demonstrate the ability to craft documents which showcase their understanding of the use of technological tools.
  • Exhibit an understanding and appreciation of ethics in management.
  • Exhibit effective communication skills.

 

Evidence of Student Learning - Internal: How will the program measure what I have learned?:

All learners complete a capstone research project applicable to their major before graduation which is externally evaluated for evidence of competency in meeting the program outcomes. The evaluator uses rubrics with categories of Distinguished, Proficient, Basic and Below Standard.
Scores reflect a compilation of submissions for the academic year 2008/2009.

Of the capstone projects in Business Administration evaluated for the academic year 2008-2009, 65% scored proficient or higher.
