Academic Model

Franklin University is a learner-centered institution of higher education. The cornerstones of the Franklin educational philosophy are:

Franklin University makes it possible for individuals with a wide variety of prior academic experiences, work-life circumstances, and/or financial constraints to obtain access to higher education. The university promotes student success through its curriculum development processes. Each curriculum development team includes doctorally trained faculty and industry experts to assure that course content provides students with the learning experiences they need to acquire a breathe of knowledge and the career focused applications of a balanced education.

Maintaining quality academics, from Franklin University's perspective, entails:

  • Ensuring that all students benefit from a consistent, well-rounded curriculum that creates a cohesive program of study.
  • Adapting to the needs of nontraditional students to provide an education that is relevant to their professions and lifestyle.
  • Selecting, developing, and overseeing of faculty with appropriate credentials.
  • Using industry experts to both contribute to the development of curricula and teach the curricula in combination with a meaningful infusion of their own professional experience.
