Excelsior College provides undergraduate and graduate education to working adults through a combination of online courses, transfer credit evaluation, exams and other assessments of prior learning.
The private nonprofit College specializes in educating unique individuals and diverse groups, including military personnel stationed at home and abroad. Our students pursue associate, bachelor's and master's degrees, and selected certificate programs, in business, technology, criminal justice, health sciences, liberal studies and other areas. Excelsior's associate degree in nursing is designed specifically for experienced health care professionals requiring a flexible path toward registered nurse licensure. The Center for Professional Development provides career advancement programs for other professionals in a range of fields. For Excelsior students taking our courses, online collaboration, discussion, and research provide vital interaction with student peers and faculty who are experts in their fields.
Academic advisors provide individualized guidance to help students map the path best suited to their academic needs and prior learning. Military students work with a specialized group of advisors in the Center for Military Education, some of whom are former military personnel themselves.
Excelsior College's financial aid experts assist students in gaining access to a range of financial aid, scholarships and military education benefits.
Excelsior College provides educational opportunity to adult learners with an emphasis on those historically underrepresented in higher education. The College meets students where they are - academically and geographically, offering quality instruction and the assessment of prior learning.
